Hotel Haus Salzberg in Gemund

Very warm welcome, they tried very hard to make my stay as pleasant as possible. Cleanliness was great! Breakfast very good and varied. Would come again anytime.

As Eifelsteig hikers, we stayed at Haus Salzberg for one night and we are thrilled! Although the hotel is kept very simple, the hosts are far beyond what you would expect. Super informal and helpful, think along with you and answer all questions as best you can. We were amazed at the free sauna with whirlpool and sandwich bags at breakfast. The competition is happy to charge € 1.50 per bread roll! We would love to come back when we are in the area and we can recommend Haus Salzberg without reservation!

Quiet location, nice hosts, homely atmosphere

We were here as part of a hiking trip: super nice staff, very clean room and even if the furniture is older, everything worked perfectly (mattress was really good too). Nice garden to sit outside and good breakfast.

Everything was okay so far. The creaky bed didn't make for a quiet night though.

More recommendable for older semesters! Room and sauna area very old. Breakfast barely acceptable for three stars. Two stars just for the kindness of the owner!

Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed for health reasons. Otherwise the house offers good service. Especially recommended for dog owners.

Stayed here for 4 nights last week. Great hotel, well cared for, good breakfast. Your uncle can pick up fresh fruit for breakfast. Bags are ready for a packed lunch. Hard-boiled eggs are ready and scrambled or fried eggs are made on request. The hotel has a terrace and a piece of grass where you can sit outside. The staff is friendly and helpful. Good place for hiking and cycling in the Eifel!

If you like peace and quiet, this is the place for you. Nice operators ☺ Lovingly prepared breakfast. Thursday to WE restaurant. Very tasty.

Very friendly service. Extensive breakfast buffet with the suggestion to make a free lunch package for the walking tour. Only downside was a very tight shower.

Now we are annual guests on the Salzberg for years, but have always run another route to Gemünd in the valley .... What a fatal mistake ... What has escaped us in the years !!! Great atmosphere, attentive and nice staff, delicious food and drinks in a relaxed environment. Justifiable prices for a grandiose meal .... And the mix of whiskey cola was just perfect. For sure we will stop here in the next years.

This is a comfortable family business. It's not high class so don't expect exuberant folie. But it's warm, cosy and honest.

Great location for visiting the national forest area. friendly family run place. Good breakfast. Loved the sandwich bags left out at the breakfast buffet so you could make up a lunchtime sandwich before setting out for a days hiking.

Great restaurant. Great steaks. Absolutely worth a visit. They treated the kids so well. Wish we could have returned.
